Budget Friendly Bedroom Makeover in NJ!

I recently did a simple bedroom makeover on a really tight budget! I tried to stay as close to twelve hundred dollars as possible and I think the result is pretty nice! Coral/orange was the pop of color that was decided on based on this inspiration photo below.

Bold Headboard Inspiration!

I recently acquired a new upholstered headboard and love it! It is very neutral but suits our bedroom and overall design scheme. So I am really happy with it. While I was browsing may styles and prints, I saved these files and wanted to share them with you. I would love to help one of my readers re-design their oasis using something similar to these great prints and colors!

Add a Punch of Color with Chartreuse!

A color halfway between yellow and green that was named because of its resemblance to the green color of one of the French liquers called green chartreuse, introduced in 1764. I think this color is becoming one of my top picks for interior decor. These beautiful images below highlight why!

2012 Hampton Designer Showhouse!

Designer show homes give local designers the chance to experiment and display their creative talent for us to view. I recently enjoyed the designer show house benefiting our local hospital and it did not disappoint! The 2012 Hampton Designer Showhouse is one of the most anticipated ones in the NY area! My favorite space was designed by Robert Passel and it is a show stopper! Do you agree? The watercolor wall covering is amazing!!!!! The combination of lime green and pink is stunning and it is the perfect mix of traditional design with an eclectic vibe, my favorite!

Pale, Cameo, Cherry Blossom and Carnation PINK!

A variety of names for the beautiful color of pink! Pink blossoms during spring are one of the most spectacular sites to feast your eyes on.

Many travel to Washington DC for the cherry blossom festival to enjoy them but I don't have to go to far away from home. The main street in our cute town of is Clinton, NJ is lined with them! Every May we actually have a cherry blossom festival ourselves.

So the inspiration color of decor for today....you guessed it pink! Toned down, accented with or full bold pink can brighten any room and it doesn't have to be to feminine, so don't hesitate to incorporate pink into a space in your home!

Gorgeous Bedroom Recreated!

When I come across a beautiful image, I save them to my personal files of favorite rooms. I recently saw this photo and fell head over heels for it. The room is so soothing and light but also has just the right amount of femininity to it! I just had to spend a little time and I was able to find great deals on items that mimic the room and will give the same feel for about $2,500. Granted the architectural elements of the room add so much but high ceilings and lots of natural light are found in many rooms in your homes.
