Starting with my favorite element is the first sample in the far upper left hand corner of geometric wallpaper that would line the walls in her room. The larger geometric fabric would be an accent somewhere in the room. The chinoiserie fabric which is amazing would be the fabric for a few european pillows and a duvet cover that would accent the adorable white and aqua bedding from Serena & Lily. The area rug from Lulu and Georgia and the curtain panels are also from Serena & Lily. Sweet bone inlaid side tables, white gourd lamps, cute elephant stool and mirror from Ballard Designs are the perfect accents to the room. What do you think, do you love or just like it?

Alivia's Purple Inspired Design Board!
My dear friends little girl Alivia is about to have her own room for the very first time! Her mom wants to surprise her with a room that is girly but also a room that she can grow into as she gets older. She loves having friends sleep over, so having extra sleeping space is essential. She loves the color purple too! So her mom reached out to me for some design ideas and I have put together this board labeled as #1. I will work up some other options but I have to say I love this!

The Bunk Bed Craze!
Have you noticed all the different configurations of bunk beds popping up in design today? Being part of a family with four kids with not many bedrooms, bunk beds were a part of my childhood. I slept on the top bunk while my two younger brothers shared the bottom bunk. That was common back in the day 30 years ago. Finally at 12 years old I graduated to my own room! Bunk beds are not only great looking, but space saving and lots of fun to share with siblings. Always, a riot trying to get us all to sleep. These are some of my most recent favorites, enjoy!

Spring Colors for Your Home Series! Green!
"Springtime is the land awakening.
The March winds are the morning yawn."
Is the color green sprouting up in your gardens or in the trees? Spring is one of my favorite seasons and times of the year. Regrowth, warmth and sun enliven the earth and me after the cold long winter we have had. So, I thought it would be most appropriate to highlight the natural and beautiful color GREEN and varying shades of it today!

Decorate in Turquoise!
Maybe your inspiration was that first Tiffany Jewelry box you received or maybe it was that first piece of sea glass you found on the beach................
I just love the color Turquoise and maybe you do also! The color turquoise is a mix of blue and green. Turquoise has a sweet feminine feel while the darker teal shades add lively sophistication. Decorating in turquoise, whether on an accent wall or that throw pillow on a sofa adds a calming affect to any home. I have added to this post some of my favorite interiors that highlight the use of the beautiful color turquoise. Enjoy the photos! A a personal request to all of my readers........Do you have a room with Turquoise in it? Please send me your photograph along with a brief description of why you chose this great color. I would love to share them!
These photographs above have been featured in magazines like Traditional Home.
