Painted Cabinetry in the Kitchen!

For all of you older home lovers in New Jersey and New York, I want to expand your horizons! As an owner of an 1840's colonial in our Hunterdon/Morris Counties in NJ  as well as nearby Bucks County PA, there are so many homes that date back to the early 1800's and I also see many new homes styled after older colonials in many sprawling developments! When it comes to kitchen renovations many of us want to stick close to an original style of our home in the kitchen but with an updated and fresh look. Often enough stained cabinetry is chosen or just plain white or cream maybe because that is closest to what may have originally been there. Let me share with you some more subtle shades of color that can either be combined or stand alone in a kitchen and look fabulous! Do you like one more than the others? Let me know by posting your comment!

And of course I had to include a white one!

  1. I used to think I liked stained wood but lately I'm all about the painted cabinetry, mostly white though. I think its a clean look. Especially if you have wood floors, stained cabinetry can make a kitchen look dark and then you have the issue of trying to match or coordinate the wood stains.
