Starting a Living Room and Dining Room Installation!

My apologies for phone pics but I forgot to bring my camera. But I began a dining room installation and a living room install this past Friday. There are several main elements not quite ready like the dining room chairs, living room chandelier, abstract painting etc. Once the rooms are finished I will have better photographs taken. It has been a pleasure working with my client on their weekend country home. She had the main pieces purchase already and was looking for tables, artwork, window treatments and lighting to tie it all in together. She decided on using an interior decorator because she realized that everything she was purchasing was looking so traditional and she wanted more or an eclectic feel. Here are a few pics I wanted to share. More to come!

Alivia's Purple Inspired Design Board!

My dear friends little girl Alivia is about to have her own room for the very first time! Her mom wants to surprise her with a room that is girly but also a room that she can grow into as she gets older. She loves having friends sleep over, so having extra sleeping space is essential. She loves the color purple too! So her mom reached out to me for some design ideas and I have put together this board labeled as #1. I will work up some other options but I have to say I love this!

Starting with my favorite element is the first sample in the far upper left hand corner of geometric wallpaper that would line the walls in her room. The larger geometric fabric would be an accent somewhere in the room. The chinoiserie fabric which is amazing would be the fabric for a few european pillows and a duvet cover that would accent the adorable white and aqua bedding from Serena & Lily. The area rug from Lulu and Georgia and the curtain panels are also from Serena & Lily. Sweet bone inlaid side tables, white gourd lamps, cute elephant stool and mirror from Ballard Designs are the perfect accents to the room. What do you think, do you love or just like it?

Client Dining Room Design Board

I have been busy with a couple of clients these past few months and designs are finally coming together. I am sharing below a basic design board for a client that lives in a historical federal colonial. The rooms have great bones with amazing architecture and wood floors. She desired an eclectic feel but had already purchased quite a few pieces of traditional furniture. So I had to incorporate these pieces in the design. For example, she had her dining room table, sofa, chairs etc. So I came up with this board for her dining room. I am loving the results so far but we are far from being being completed. When that happens, hopefully within the next couple of weeks, I will get some great before and after photos to share with you. For now I hope this is enough....
